Solarize Windsor, Cummington, Goshen and Worthington

Solarize WCGW is part of Solarize Mass, a partnership between the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (CEC) and the Green Communities Division of the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources (DOER). Solarize Mass started in 2011, and has resulted in over 3,400 residents across 58 communities installing over 20.6 megawatts of clean, renewable solar energy.

In the Spring of 2016, Windsor, Cummington, Goshen and Worthington as a group (WCGW), submitted a proposal to join the Solarize Mass program. With the help of the CEC and expert third party consultants, the Solarize WCGW team reviewed applications from eight companies, and interviewed three of them. After this rigorous selection process, SunBug Solar is proud to have been awarded the honor of being the installer for Solarize WCGW.

Solarize WCGW allows residents of these towns to obtain a solar system at a price 25 - 30% lower than the state average. The program uses discount bulk purchasing and tiered pricing – the more homes and business owners sign up to go solar, the less the systems will cost for everyone. This is a limited time program; in order to receive the discount, you must sign up by May 15, 2017. To get started, please fill out the form below.

For any questions about the program, please feel free to reach out to the contacts for your town below. For questions about the program as a whole, please contact SolarizeWCGW@gmail.com.

BREAKING NEWS: Solarize WCGW reaches Tier 6, Program Extended to May 15

The demand for solar in the Hilltowns is strong: on Wednesday April 19th, with 11 days remaining in the program, the community reached a cumulative capacity of 400kW so that every Solarize WCGW customer will receive the maximum discount in the program. Due to the incredible demand, the deadline to sign up has been extended to May 15. That means there is still time to sign up today for your FREE Site Evaluation.

SunBug Solar put on four "Meet the Installer" events in the month of November. The events were opportunities for the community to come together to learn about the Solarize program. SunBug Solar, along with the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center and UMassFive College Federal Credit Union, gave presentations on all aspects of Solarize WCGW and answered questions from the community.
