What We Do
SunBug bridges the gaps between energy consultants, solar panel manufacturers and government incentive programs to bring customers complete solar installations. We offer:
Practical Solutions
We do not manufacture solar equipment ourselves, so we are not tied to any particular brand or technology. Our solar installations take advantage of the best-suited, most cost-effective technology for your site, be that conventional solar electric, thin-film Photovoltaic, solar thermal, or whatever tomorrow’s technological advancements have to offer.Competent Installations
Our professional team will install your system in just two or three days. We know that any solar installation is only as strong as its weakest link, so we use the highest quality parts throughout, from the panels to the mounting hardware. As homeowners ourselves, work with respect for your home and property at a minimum disruption to your family or business.Personalized Education
Once the system is up and running, we are happy to teach you as much - or as little - as you wish. If you simply want to know where the switch is located we’ll point you to it. If instead you want to understand in detail how your array captures energy and converts it to power we’ll walk you through the complete set-up from roof to basement.Peace of Mind
Every SunBug solar installation comes with a five year warranty, and most solar panels come with a 20 or 25 year warranty from the manufacturer. In fact, decades of experience show a solar electric system to be one of the most hassle-free home improvements available: there are no moving parts, and many panels installed in the 1970s are still working today.Monitoring and Maintenance
After installation is complete, SunBug begins an ongoing customer relationship through our SunSpot monitoring and maintenance program. With our SunWatch energy monitor, SunSpots can visit a personalized web page to track their system’s output in real time, every day. Not only that, but we can see if there is a problem, and let our SunSpots know if there is.
Aesthetic of Solar
One impediment to widespread solar adoption for the home has been aesthetic: unsightly installations in the 1970s gave solar an ugly reputation. Today, a host of manufacturers compete to build panels that are effective and attractive. At SunBug, we use low profile panels and design arrays that take into account all sightlines and issues of symmetry. We’ll make your solar installation look as good as it works.
