Where We Work

New England and Wyoming

SunBug provides solar solutions to customers throughout New England, with a special focus on eastern Massachusetts residents.

Solar in New England

New England’s climate can be tough at times, but there is plenty of sunlight to support solar energy.  In fact, cooler Northeast temperatures make solar electric cells work more efficiently.  Much more important than the weather are programs to make solar cost effective, which is why cool and cloudy Germany is actually the global leader in solar generated electricity.

Solar in Massachusetts

The Bay State has become a hotbed for solar energy.  Large, out-of-state companies from California and elsewhere are setting up branches or satellite offices in an effort to get in on the Massachusetts’ solar boom.  This boom is not because the sun is shining any brighter in Boston, Worcester, or Springfield. What makes solar a viable in any community are the policies and incentives that level the playing filed between solar and fossil fuel energy sources.  Massachusetts’ adoption of net metering policies,  implementation of significant rebate programs through the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative, and passage of progressive legislation like the Green Communities Act mean solar has a sunny future in Massachusetts.  At SunBug, we take pride in our knowledge of the changing matrix of municipal, state, and federal incentives that allow Massachusetts residents to install some of the most cost-effective solar systems in the nation.

Solar in your community

Regionally, SunBug is focused on increasing solar adoption within the communities inside Route 495, because that’s where we call home.   We are located in Somerville and often find ourselves visiting customers in Cambridge, Arlington, Belmont, Lexington, and Lincoln.  We also travel south of the Mass Pike to areas like Newton, Wellesley, Needham, and Natick.  Additionally, our lead installer has installed solar systems in Brookline, Sudbury, Weston, Chelsea, and even Fenway Park.

Solar on your home or business

In the end, the only location that matters is your own, so let us come out and conduct a free solar evaluation to find out if your situation is right for solar.
