SunBug Solar Partnering with MassCEC to Deliver Clean Energy Technology to Low-Income Families

SunBug Solar has been selected for participation in the Affordable Clean and Renewable Energy (ACRE) program, in partnership with the Mass. Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) and other organizations in Western MA.

ACRE is a pilot program seeking to develop replicable strategies for providing clean energy solutions to low-income families. ACRE delivers a fully-financed, comprehensive energy package that combines solar photovoltaic systems and cold-climate air source heat pumps for low-income customers living in single family homes in Western Massachusetts. Members of the project team include EnergyFutures Group, the Center for EcoTechnology, Bruce Harley Energy Consulting, Integral Building and Design, and Girard Heating and Air Conditioning. Another integral partner in the effort is the UMassFive College Federal Credit Union, who is providing innovative financing to facilitate the projects.
