SunBug Solar is excited to announce the completion of the first installation in the Solarize WCGW Campaign, a MassCEC Solarize program in the towns of Windsor, Cummington, Goshen and Worthington. The 5.76 kW array in Worthington is comprised of 18 320-watt LG panels. It is the first installation of 35 systems, totaling over 250kW, contracted to-date in the program.
Stephen Kulik, the homeowner, has represented the 1st Franklin District as a Democratic Massachusetts State Representative for over 20 years. Representative Kulik explained that he and his wife Suzanne and were excited to participate in the Solarize program with SunBug, noting that "The information was clearly presented, all of our questions were answered fully, and the installation was efficient and professional. We look forward to generating electricity from the sun, reducing our carbon footprint, and contributing to a greener energy future in our community and beyond.”
Mass CEC Solarize programs offer discounted solar installations to community members for a limited time based on tiered pricing. At 250kW of total capacity currently, the community expects to reach the highest tier of 400kW – and so the largest discount possible for all community members - by the program deadline of April 30.
Solarize WCGW is the first major initiative out of SunBug’s new office in Westfield, MA. In coordination with SunBug’s headquarters and Design Center in Arlington, the new Westfield office is executing sales, operations, and installations for Franklin, Hampshire, Hampden, and Berkshire Counties.
This expansion is an important step forward for a growing organization with strong Massachusetts roots. SunBug Westfield is the result of years of hard work and planning—both in terms of SunBug establishing itself as the highest rated solar installer in Eastern Massachusetts, and for the strategic timing and location of its new office and warehouse.
Founded in 2009, SunBug Solar is as a mission-driven organization—a company that seeks to simultaneously do right by the customer, the community, and the environment. Today, with 75 employees and over 1000 solar installations throughout the Bay State, SunBug Solar is bringing its unparalleled reputation for quality and customer satisfaction westward. SunBug’s commitment to service is recognized by independent industry watchers, including Angie’s List, who has awarded SunBug their coveted Super Service Award every year since 2012, making SunBug the sole Massachusetts-based company to have won this award six years running.
