SunBug's residential design team and installation crews work as a whole, executing thoughtful layouts with the highest quality installation practices.
Solar is a long-term, significant investment in your home, and the old saying “you get what you pay for” rings true. Our residential photovoltaic systems are installed by our own in-house team, rather than third-party subcontractors as is common in our industry. This integrated team approach fosters an environment of accountability and pride of craftsmanship.
Many features of a quality installation are not directly visible but are fundamental to system functionality, including roof penetrations, flashing work and of course extensive indoor and outdoor wiring. Our concern with every detail begins in design and continues to the on-roof installation in order to consistently deliver top quality projects to every customer.
SunBug's ultimate goal is widespread solar adoption, and unsightly solar installations damage this effort by giving solar a bad reputation. At SunBug we don’t crowd rooftops, and we design systems that carry aesthetically pleasing lines of symmetry whenever possible.
We pair our high quality design and installation service with high quality products. While we utilize a variety of equipment, we select manufacturers and components that we to trust through our own experience or through reliable third-party research, including input from our colleages within the national Amicus Solar Cooperative, comprised of the most experienced local solar installers in the nation.
We work with customers to select products specific to the goals of each of our clients, and we take pride in this flexible, consultative approach. We know from years of experience that there is no "one size fits all" solar system: our systems vary as much as the wide range of architectural styles we see across the Bay State.
