Certified B Corporations meet higher standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. They must achieve a minimum verified score on the B Impact Assessment—a rigorous assessment of a company’s impact on its workers, customers, community, and environment—and make their B Impact Report transparent on bcorporation.net. The combination of third-party validation, public transparency, and legal accountability help Certified B Corps build trust and value. Being a Certified B Corp is important to SunBug’s mission, as B Corps inspire all businesses to compete not only to be the best in the world, but to be the best for the world.

North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners
The North American Board of Certified Energy Practioners (NABCEP) was founded with the mission of supporting professionals and stakeholders within the renewable energy and energy efficiency industries by developing and implementing quality credentialing programs for practitioners. It is the most respected, well-established, and widely recognized certification organization for North American solar professionals, and we have multiple NABCEP Certified staff within the SunBug team.

Pearl Certification
Pearl is a certification system for healthy, energy efficient and renewable features in a home, developed in partnership with ENERGY STAR, the Appraisal Institute, the Building Performance Institute, and the National Association of Realtors. SunBug certifies all our residential solar systems through Pearl.

Better Business Bureau
The Better Business Bureau (BBB) is a non-profit organization that collects and provides free business reviews, serving as an intermediary between businesses and consumers. SunBug has been Better Business Bureau accredited since November 2009, during which time no complaints have been filed and we have earned an A+ rating.

Yelp is an online forum that enables real people to provide positive and negative reviews of businesses in their local area. SunBug holds a nearly perfect 5 star rating on Yelp, making it the highest rated solar company for customer satisfaction in Massachusetts.
