At Sunbug, we’re committed to building a more resilient future by enabling a fundamental shift toward accessible, high-quality renewable energy.
Since 2009, Sunbug has provided best-in-class renewable energy solutions to a wide range of residential, commercial, and nonprofit customers, as well as expertise in solar for new construction and EPC services. Our helpful, responsive team brings deep expertise, experience, and a customer-first approach to every project. Each of us embraces a method and a mindset that’s equal parts craftsmanship, collaboration, and accountability.
As a values-driven B-Corp with employee-owners, and a longtime member of the Amicus Solar Cooperative, we believe in doing the right thing, the right way, every day. Our relationships with clients, partners, and one another are guided by honesty, respect, and integrity, and we are known for standing by our work and by our word.
We’re on a mission to bring high-quality renewable energy to every home and organization in Massachusetts and beyond. But before we get to work, we want to be sure that shifting to renewable is the right move for you and your situation. During your free assessment, we’ll evaluate factors like the size of your roof, shade cover from surrounding trees or buildings, and your existing utility bill to calculate your energy needs and calibrate your system for maximum efficiency and ROI.
Renewable energy is an exciting, evolving, and oftentimes complicated industry. We’re committed to empowering our customers to become well-educated and well-informed energy consumers. Whether it’s explaining the newest tech, policies, and regulations, or making sense of economics and incentives that contribute to your bottom line, we’ll help you understand the ins and outs of your decision to invest in a renewable energy system.
Next, we’ll take a deeper dive into the specific features of your property, your current utility rates and consumption patterns, and eligibility for government incentives and available financing options. We’ll also take stock of the utility policies and regulations for your situation as well as locations and specific components, like utility transformers, meters, breaker panels, and switch gear. It’s how we ensure that we engineer the ideal solution for you.
We believe a well-designed system balances form with function. We fit each system to its context, ensuring that any new and existing equipment remains accessible while creating a clean, streamlined aesthetic. Once we’ve developed your individualized solution, we’ll present a summary proposal that includes a layout and detailed economics. From there, we incorporate your feedback to ensure your system is a perfect fit.
When you’re ready to proceed, we’ll obtain all required permits, including construction approvals and permission from the utility to connect your new system to the electric grid. Once permits are in hand, we’ll get building. Because communication and craftsmanship are core to what we do, we’ll keep you informed every step of the way as we work to deliver a fully tested, well-integrated renewable energy system.
