Boston Building Resources empowers homeowners to increase the efficiency and value of their homes by providing new and gently used materials for resale. When they renovated in 2021, with a large solar-ready roof space, the decision to go solar was an easy one. After months of design and engineering work, Sunbug installed a 46kW solar PV system, comprised of 114 panels, which will be enough energy to provide 100% of the power needed to keep the facility running. The renovation has made the Reuse Center at BBR the first net zero carbon building in Mission Hill.
