In most cases, a Sunbug system designer can use remote software to determine if solar is right for you without coming to your home. We will ask for some key information from you upfront in order to pave the way.
Your Roof
We use satellite imagery and remote measuring systems to accurately render the orientation, slope, and size of your roof. The ideal roof slopes towards the south, but even if your roof is east or west facing, you can still get strong results. If you have a flat roof, we can orient your panels to maximize efficiency.
Your Shade
For solar electric systems, panels should be installed to minimize shade from nearby trees or buildings. Luckily, we can calculate shade obstruction and design your system for maximum efficiency.
Your Energy Use
We will request a copy of your utility bill so that we can properly size your array. We look at how much electricity you consume and what you spend to figure out the optimal size of your system.
